of Fine Arts -- Visitors will experience a more inviting, more
dynamic, and more profound relationship with the great works of art the
Museum is privileged to hold and to exhibit. This new Museum, so crucial
for the posterity of the art and for the welcome it provides to upcoming
generations of young people, will greatly enhance the cultural identity of
the City of Boston.At its heart is a respect for and a return to the Museum’s
original master plan, created in 1907 by architect Guy Lowell.
Museum of Science -- In
1830, six men interested in natural history established the Boston Society
of Natural History, an organization through which they could pursue their
common scientific interests.Devoted
to collecting and studying natural history specimens, the society
displayed its collections in numerous temporary facilities until 1864,
when it opened the New England Museum of Natural History at the corner of
Berkeley and Boylston Streets in Boston's Back Bay.That Museum is now known worldwide as the Museum of Science.

Shubert Theatre -- The theatre we now refer to as The Shubert
Theatre was opened on New Years Day in 1906 as the Majestic Theatre. The
architects of the venue were Edmund R. Krause and George L. and Cornelius
W. Rapp. Chicago’s first theatre since the tragic Iroquois Theatre fire,
it was the first venue in Chicago to cost over one million dollars, and
was noted for its fire safety precautions.The Majestic Building, the tallest building in Chicago when it was
first built, became a Chicago landmark.
